Saudi Films Screened in Paris
The Arab World Institute in Paris hosted a Night of Saudi Cinema on May 16, introducing two features to the crowd present, which included dignitaries such as Jack Lang, the Institute’s President, and HH Princess Haifa Al Mogrin, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO.
Expressing her admiration at the films’ memorable Paris debut, the Permanent Delegate explained: “They are not here today because they’re being promoted. They are here today because they are good.”
Dunya’s Day, a witty short, and Champions, a feature starring Yasir Alsaggaf who was present at the showcase, were screened with support by the Institute as well as CineWaves Films, a leading Saudi film distribution company, and Generation2030, a Saudi-French platform that builds social bridges between both countries’ youthful entrepreneurial profiles and initiatives.
