Transforming Education Pre-Summit

Convening over 140 Education Ministers, the Transforming Education Pre-Summit in June was vital for the global UNESCO community to convene and reconnect, after a somewhat tumultuous time for the sector, as it paves the way forward in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) no.4, “Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all,” on which United Nations-level efforts are being led by UNESCO.

The Saudi Education Minister H.E. Dr. Hamad M.H. Al Sheikh addressed the Summit illustrating the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure equitable access to quality learning opportunities for all students in Saudi Arabia.

The Transforming Education Pre-Summit was also an opportunity for bilateral meetings between the Kingdom and each of Member States Uzbekistan and Turkey on the importance of supporting the youth in order to tackle current and future challenges.
